This is the 7th year for this event which Bob and Henny Majeski started hosting
for the Connecticut AMO Region in 1998 The Northeast Region NCCA and CAMO are
looking for you to help make this a great day and an even greater way to meet
other Nash and AMC people from New England. Show off your Nash, AMC or
come Modern, but most importantly, COME! If you don't know what a
Mystery Run is, don't worry. However, you need to know a few things. First, we
want you to use your Nash or AMC if possible, after all, that's
part of the reason for the run, to keep them going. BUT, there are a few things
you positively need or you can't do the Run.
- You need a working speedometer and odometer. Do we have to mention brakes?
- Bring a pen and a hard surface, like a clipboard, to write on.
- You really cannot safely do this without a driver and a navigator. (2
people)
- Bring a cell phone or change for a phone because you may have to call to
let someone know if you still want to have lunch with the other participants.
- Good shoes, as the Navigator may have to get out of the car on occasion.
- Bring cash or credit card since the Run always ends at a restaurant for
lunch and the Awards presentation. The Awards are for Best Time, Best Miles,
Worst Time, Worst Miles.
For those concerned about the challenge to person or vehicle be assured that
there is nothing deemed off-road, the course usually is 18 miles or less and
should take, an average, one to one and a half hours. This is not the Great
American Race. Also speeding is not required or even allowed. Therefore, a 1919
Nash can traverse the course as well as a 1999 Lincoln Navigator. All traffic
and speed limits must be observed at all times to complete the course
correctly. For more questions call Bob Majeski at 203-758-5758 any evening
until 11 PM. This is the first event of the 2004 Car Season and for a new and
improved NCCA Northeast Region. With your support this will be a great Nash
Season in New England and the first of many more to come.
